Starting with the murder of his master, Gaspar enters a time of chaos. Armed with his predecessor’s last journal recording, his mission is to interpret the significant heavenly sign and its implication to his nation’s future.
Overwhelmed, Gaspar must learn to navigate the ruthless waters of the empire’s leadership that are consumed with anxiety about the end of recorded time as they know it. However, Gaspar is unaware that this is only the first of seven celestial signs that will haunt him for more than a year. Finally deciphering that the stars declare the birth of a great leader, he is plagued by forces outside of his control to confirm his findings. Emerging from the depths of despair, Gaspar realizes he must sacrifice everything and everyone he loves to fulfill his purpose.
